Harbourfront Melody • Choreopolis
Description
Gene Kelly serenades a crowd at the Central Harbourfront in a scene reminiscent of Singin' in the Rain's Broadway Melody interlude.
Collection
Choreopolis feature 10 artworks that meld Hong Kong landmarks with classic Broadway and West End choreography. The artworks’ names are portmanteaus, puns, or hybrids of the Hong Kong location, musical’s title, or song name. The full collection will be unveiled at the opening evening on 14 March 13. It will highlight locations such as Wan Chai, Cheung Chau, and Happy Valley and will feature musicals such as ‘Chicago’, ‘Newsies’, and ‘My Fair Lady’.
Exhibition
The exhibition runs from March 15 to April 28 at Wyndham Social, with opening night from 6 to 8pm on Thursday March 14, 2024. Visit www.sophiahotung.com/choreopolis for details.
