Bringing the buzz back to Stanley
Aldeia Limited / Kadoorie Estates Limited
March - June 2021
Created on commission for Aldeia Limited, a group consulting on behalf of Kadoorie Estates Limited, this was a wide-ranging project that invovled the creation of construction hoardings, posters, characters, murals, T-shirt designs, and more.
The briefs varied per sub-project, but the overarching goal of the partnership was to attract visitors back to Stanley village and its promenade for the summer after tourism was quashed during the pandemic.

A poster that depicted Stanley in an Amalfi Coast / French Riviera style to attract tourists back to the popular village after tourism dwindled due to the pandemic. This artwork was printed on smaller posters and a large foam board poster to stick against a construction hoarding. It was also printed on shirts and merchandise, which was monetised in a local shop.

The initial brief for the construction hoarding requested metal sliding doors, a market scene, a wild boar, and posters of old Chinese pirates. In the end, this design was swapped out by the client for a simpler design of just the folding doors.

The client requested a mural in the style of a kitschy travel postcard that showed a recently opened café on Stanley's promenade, the bay, and greenery.

The client requested a vector art T-shirt design to be printed on navy and white T-shirts. A King of Diamonds wearing sunglasses holds a coffee to-go cup.
